What this project does
Countdown tracks developments that plausibly bear on the emergence of conscious, embodied machine intelligence. The emphasis is not on speed or volume, but on disciplined curation: developments are selected because they can be examined, cited, and challenged, and because they materially bear on the project’s central questions.
